Stock photos from Lucky Oliver

- Unfortunately, Lucky Oliver has shut down. I've had to switch to another site; albumo.com is the best of the ones I explored.

I like my posts a lot better when they have an image in them; otherwise they seem to get lost in the list. I don't like to take images from the web without authorization, though. So Lucky Oliver is a good resource.

Lucky Oliver is a clearhouse where photographers can sell stock photos. For a blog post, the price is usually $1 per image (you have to buy at least $10 of tokens at a time, then you pay with $1 tokens). Their revenue is shared with the photographer.

I like the interface a lot, it is fast and intuitive. The search works exceptionally well and gives you a good set of photo thumbnails to choose from, and they have done a great job of tagging/categorizing the photos. For example, I was looking for an image for my omega-3 post, and got a selection of capsules, fish, etc by searching for "omega".

They also have some amazing images. If you go to their "big top" page, you can click on the current featured photo, and then click on other photographers in the right column, and see some great stuff.
