The virtual world of Second Life http://secondlife.com/ has attracted interest from all circles – business, philosophical, academic, entertainment, and social.  Second Life has been featured in the press, radio and television.  Wikipedia has a remarkably good overview of Second Life at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Life .
